Objectives
The SENSE project aims to drive meaningful and inclusive improvements in dementia care by focusing on key objectives that enhance caregiving practices, support stakeholders, and promote accessible, innovative solutions.
To identify and bridge the gaps in the knowledge and support capabilities of health workers concerning severe dementia patients, enhancing their capacity to provide effective care.
To provide health workers with practical skills aimed at supporting and elevating the quality of life for individuals with severe dementia, ensuring a more holistic and empathetic approach to caregiving.
To educate caregivers on various aspects of dementia, sensory stimulation, and proper caregiving techniques, fostering a supportive environment for patients with severe dementia.
To raise awareness of the importance of comfort for severe dementia patients through re-education of caregivers on sensory techniques and cognitive abilities to enhance overall well-being.
To integrate essential skills education for health professionals and adult educators with innovative Snoezelen methods, ensuring effective care and low-cost sensory activation solutions.

Family Members of Seniors and People with Severe Dementia:
Recognizing the significant impact on families, this group includes relatives and close associates of seniors affected by severe dementia.
